Who is Angela Owen?

Councillor Angela Owen represents the Calamvale Ward on the Brisbane City Council, covering Algester, Calamvale, Drewvale, Heathwood, Karawatha, Larapinta, Pallara, Parkinson, Stretton, and parts of Forest Lake. Elected first as the Councillor for Parkinson Ward in 2008 and then for Calamvale Ward in 2016 (following boundary changes), she was re-elected in 2020.

A long-standing community advocate, Owen has resided in the community she serves since 1983, alongside three family generations. Professionally, she is a Certified Practicing Accountant with experience across government levels and the corporate sector, including senior management roles, advisory positions, and university lecturing.
