Ben Lohberger is an Independent candidate for Clark, emphasizing strong action on the University of Tasmania's (UTAS) relocation, housing, a new pool for Glenorchy, and drinking water protection. Raised and educated in Hobart, and currently a Hobart City Councillor and employee at Hobart City Mission, Ben is deeply embedded in the local community.

He opposes UTAS's planned move to the CBD due to congestion concerns and advocates for legislative changes to prevent the campus sale. Ben is committed to addressing the housing crisis by boosting public housing, opposing the construction of an expensive stadium amidst housing shortages, and advocating for reliable bus services, adequate school funding, and enhanced support for the Royal Hobart Hospital and ambulance services.
