Former "Home and Away" star David E. Woodley is transitioning from acting to community service as he auditions for the role of a councillor for Division 6.
An accomplished Australian actor, director, and writer, Woodley is celebrated for his roles in "Echo Point" as Hopper Hadley and "Home and Away" as Joel Nash. His career began in Brisbane as a stage actor, notably performing in Shakespearean productions under Bryan Nason AM and with the Grin and Tonic theatre company.
His pursuit of excellence led him to the UK for drama studies at St Catherine's Drama Studio in Guildford, Surrey, and voice training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. An adept horseman, Woodley trained in stunts upon returning to Australia, which contributed to his role in "Echo Point" and subsequent success in "Home and Away." His acting repertoire includes roles in "Rake," "Spartacus - Gods of the Arena," and "Legend of the Seeker." He is set to appear in "The Three-Body Problem," a Science Fiction Trilogy based on Liu Cixin's novel.
Woodley also holds a degree in film production from SAE Institute Sydney.
