David Nunn is running as an independent candidate for Clark, motivated by the opportunity this election presents for Tasmania to have a truly diverse parliament, free from the dominance of established parties. He emphasizes the importance of community consultation and the ability for the community to have significant influence over major decisions impacting the state, noting past governmental shortcomings in this area.

David proposes balancing the need for transparency and community involvement in large-scale projects, such as a cable car or an AFL stadium, while advocating for the reduction of bureaucratic hurdles that hinder small business innovation. David's connection to Tasmania began in 2010, with intermittent periods spent outside the state and abroad for work, before settling permanently in 2016.

In 2017, he and his wife took over the lease of the Fern Tree Tavern, later purchasing the pub outright and transforming it into a thriving community hub. David looks forward to continuing his contributions to Tasmania, brewing beers and fostering community.
