Justice Holly Taylor is currently the Assistant Director for Post-Conviction Matters and Complex Litigation Support at the Travis County District Attorney's Office's Civil Rights Division. In this capacity, she supervises the Appeals Team, Civil Rights Unit, and Conviction Integrity Unit, focusing on wrongful convictions and civil rights violations.
Previously, Taylor led the Appeals Team and worked in the Public Integrity Unit to combat fraud and corruption. Her career also includes serving as a staff attorney and Rules Attorney for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and teaching advanced legal writing as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law.
Taylor's academic credentials include a BA from Rice University, along with a law degree and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin's LBJ School of Public Affairs. Her extensive education has provided a solid foundation for her legal career, emphasizing criminal law and public policy.
She is Board Certified in Criminal Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a member of the Society of Legal Scholars.
