John Larkin has over 32 years of trial and courtroom experience, covering civil, criminal, contracts, property, personal injury, housing, and bankruptcy issues. He has defended individuals against employment-related job loss, safeguarded families from losing their homes and vehicles, and represented indigent clients.
Additionally, he has helped individuals obtain mental health and substance abuse treatment and resolve financial challenges.
Larkin is an alumnus of the University of Detroit Mercy Law School and the University of Michigan. He attended Brother Rice High School and St.
Michael.
He is a lifelong member of St. Edith Church and actively participates in the Knights of Columbus and Rotary Club.
Larkin belongs to the Detroit Bar Association, the Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers, the Michigan Association of Justice, and is a past president of the Livonia Bar Association. He has served as a pro bono attorney at Most Holy Trinity Church for 20 years and volunteers at Ark Food Kitchen.
Additionally, he coaches at Livonia Hockey and Dynamic Boxing Club.
Larkin has been married to Soraya Kim Larkin for 28 years and is a father to three adult children and two rescue pets. He was a Golden Gloves Champion in 1986 and has completed 15 marathons.
