Who is Ryan Murphy?

Councillor Ryan Murphy represents the Chandler Ward in Brisbane, covering Carindale, Chandler, Gumdale, Mackenzie, Mansfield, Ransome, Wakerley, and parts of Belmont, Burbank, and Mt Gravatt East. A lifelong resident of Brisbane's eastern suburbs, Ryan is dedicated to enhancing local roads, parks, community organizations, and ensuring residents' views on planning and development are considered.

Elected to the Brisbane City Council in 2012 as its youngest councillor and re-elected in 2016, Ryan's background includes service in the Australian Army Reserves and work as a public relations consultant. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.

Ryan supports various local groups and is the patron of several community organizations, including the Friends of Tingalpa Cemetery Heritage Group and the Mayfield Marlins Swimming Club.
