Who is Sandy Landers?

Councillor Sandy Landers has been serving as the Councillor for Bracken Ridge Ward since October 2019 and was elected into Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner’s Administration in 2020. A lifelong resident of Brisbane's Northside, Sandy has a rich background in education, with over 20 years of experience teaching in state schools, and has also worked extensively in State and Federal Governments.

Her dedication to community development is evident through her active participation in various local groups and initiatives, including her involvement in the mud army during Brisbane's devastating floods. As a Councillor, Sandy aims to make the Bracken Ridge Ward the best place in Brisbane for living, working, and raising a family.

She is currently a member of the Council’s Environment Parks and Sustainability Committee, Deputy Chair of the Community, Arts and Nighttime Economy Committee, and Deputy Chair of Council, with a special role as the Lord Mayor’s representative for multicultural communities. The Bracken Ridge Ward Office, located at the corner of Bracken and Barrett Streets, is open from 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, for those seeking to contact or visit.
