Justice Sarah Stewart serves as an Associate Justice on the Alabama Supreme Court, having been elected to the position in November 2018 for a six-year term. Before her tenure on the Supreme Court, Stewart made history as the first female jury trial judge in Mobile, serving as a Circuit Judge for thirteen years.
She brings a wealth of experience from both her judicial roles and her early legal career in private practice. Stewart's legal education includes a J.D.
from Vanderbilt Law School, where she was recognized for her academic excellence, and a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Arkansas.
