The Stafford and Stone Green Party has officially announced their readiness for the upcoming General Election scheduled for July 4th. The party has nominated Scott Spencer as their candidate for the Stafford Constituency.
Spencer, a resident of Norbury, serves as a local councillor for the Gnosall and Woodseaves ward and works professionally as a Consultant Geologist.
Scott Spencer is deeply rooted in the community he aims to represent. Living in Norbury, his local involvement is further emphasized by his role as a councillor for the Gnosall and Woodseaves ward, highlighting his firsthand understanding of the area's needs and challenges.
Scott Spencer brings a wealth of experience in geology and project management to his candidacy. Currently employed as a Senior Consultant Geologist at Hydrock since January 2020, Spencer has been involved in the acquisition, management, and delivery of significant infrastructure projects, including railways, highways, and wind farms.
His role involves producing cost-effective, development-led site investigations, along with managing earthwork solutions.
From May 2017 to January 2020, Spencer worked as a Freelance Geologist across the UK and continental Europe. His work focused on delivering large earthwork projects and remediation works for high-profile consultancies, as well as residential developments.
Additionally, he served as a Client Representative for the DEME Group during July to August 2017, where he contributed to the offshore elements of the Burullus power station coolant array infrastructure in Egypt.
His earlier career included a role as a Geologist and Client Representative for the G-tec Offshore Wind Project in Fécamp, France, from September 2015 to May 2017. Here, Spencer was integral in conducting geotechnical site assessments for seabed anchored wind farms and overseeing geological best practices.
He also holds a Master of Science in Applied Environmental Geoscience from the University of Tübingen, obtained between October 2013 and September 2015.
Spencer's campaign is built around providing voters with a hopeful vision for the future and ensuring effective representation for the community in Parliament.
