Sheila Ireland: A fifth-generation Ipswichian, Sheila Ireland's family opened a local coal mine in 1874. With a history of entrepreneurship, owning businesses for 16 years, she's also contributed to the boards of Apprenticeship Queensland and St Andrew's Hospital.
Her political role spans four terms on the Ipswich City Council, where she chaired major committees.
