Benjamin Schock is a seasoned elder law attorney, co-founding Schock Solaiman Ramdayal, PLLC in 2013 after working as an associate attorney in Macomb County for eight years. He specializes in assisting seniors with asset transfer and long-term care benefits, and has extensive trial experience, primarily in probate court, but also in criminal defense.
Schock attended Macomb L’Anse Creuse – North High School and earned a BA in Political Science – Pre Law from Michigan State University. He received his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, concentrating in Taxation and serving as Managing Editor of Events for the Business and Securities Law Journal.
He represented low-income taxpayers in the Tax Clinic and assisted Michigan State University students with legal defenses through ASMSU legal services.
Before his legal career, Schock worked as a credit administrator for General Motors Acceptance Corporation and as a licensed financial advisor for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. His combined expertise in elder law and financial planning has helped many families in wealth preservation and asset transfer while securing additional benefits.
Schock and his wife, Julie, live in Macomb Township with their two children, Benjamin and Clayton. They enjoy family time, home maintenance, and attending football games at their alma mater.
