Nick Gumina was born and raised in Grand Rapids. He attended Aquinas College, earning a degree in American History and graduating summa cum laude.
He received his Juris Doctorate from Cooley Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude and ranked in the top 5% of his class.
Gumina has over a decade of experience as a litigation attorney, specializing in legal and medical malpractice, family law, employment discrimination, and civil rights claims. He currently works as an associate attorney at Eardley Law Offices, PC, handling complex cases.
Previously, he served as a research attorney at the Michigan Court of Appeals and a law clerk at the Michigan Supreme Court.
Gumina has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2021 to 2024. In 2023, he was listed among the Top 10 Under 40 by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys and was named one of the Up & Coming Lawyers by Michigan Lawyers Weekly in 2014.
Nick and his wife Karrie, a nurse at the children’s hospital, were both born and raised in West Michigan. They married in 2012 and have two daughters, Vivian and Violet.
The family enjoys participating in outdoor activities, especially during Michigan summers, and supporting local sports teams.
